The house is simple and well-furnished. It has running water from its own spring, electricity, hot water (immersion heater) and bottled gas cooking. Washing and drying facilities are in the barn across the grassy courtyard. Firewood is provided.

There is a small supply shop and bar at the bottom of the hill (300m) opposite the commune town hall.

A caretaker couple will be staying in an apartment in the barn and who can provide extra services like trekking, child-care or language translation by arrangement.

The house sleeps a maximum of 8 and is ideal for two small families to share

Fun for children

Children can explore the thirty acres of woods and fields, play in the waterfall of the mountain stream that passes through the terrain or saddle up Eleanor, the donkey, and trek around the land or the many hill trails. There is a swimming hole and kyak centre 5 kms away where two mountain rivers meet. Table tennis, badminton and other games are also available.

The house is also available for the short Christmas holiday period and there is a small ski station at the head of the valley for winter skiing.

Interior (click to view) - 3 double bedrooms, one gallery with two single beds, 2 WCs, one bath/shower, living room and kitchen with large picture window and views of the mountain ridges. Major bedroom is on ground floor with french windows looking west, next to the bathroom. Gallery with two single beds above. Double bedroom is open plan on first floor, smaller double bedroom leads from it. Second WC is up ladder stairs to attic.

There is mobile phone coverage at the house and throughout the valley.

Garden and house surrounds (click to view) - House is surrounded by lawn. Walled garden is also grass and contains fig, apple and pear trees, flowering shrubs, lavander, stone barbeque and hard sitting area under the speading apple.
